What is Pre-Junior?
Pre- Junior is the right time, when the kids are metally prepared to acquire new skills. These could be academical skills or non-acdemical Skills.
Through a multisensory system the kids are introduced to all the alphabet letter sounds, using the Jolly Phonic system and also the primary basic Mathematical skills. Such as Recognition, Value and Sequence of nos from 1-20 and further on in the year also some simple addition, clock and money value.
The most important thing in Pre-Junior is that the children are learning all the above mentioned things through activities in a fun and interesting way. No child is forced to achieve what he or she are not ready to achieve. I as there teacher will always encourage the child to do his/her best and be proud of himself, in whatever task he/she manages to accomplish.
We also encourage the children to widen up her/ his views of the world surrounding him/her. Through a thematical methoid, we present various activities, such as Myself, Our World, Animals around Us, Our Family………. Every fortnight a new Theme is chosen, with all the Units in class linking to our Main Theme. Through arts and crafts they get to experience the through meaning of our main topic. Lots of crafts are created for the kids to be proud of and to take home. This is were the kids, get really messy. It is simply Fun!!!!!
