Food for thought
‘Garden of children’ This is the original name for ‘Kindergarten’ Given out by the Pioneer ‘Fredrick Frobel’ the man who initiated Kindergarten Schools.
The idea behind it all is that he compares Children to flowers and plants. Like flowers/plants are rurtured by the garden, so are the children being nurtured by their teacher.
Each child like each seed, has the potential for growth inside and just as it is not natural to force growth upon a seed, in th same way it is not natural to impose learning on a child from the ouside. Growth must be cultivated and not artificially forced or, as some might say, rushed.
The result would be, beautiful from the outside but poor from the inside.
Each child like each seed, needs sufficient water, suitable enviorenment and also including opportunities for shade from to much too much sunshine at times.
Good Day

Food for thought
Hi it’s a bit late at night and I’m trying to catch up a bit with my studying. Came across this sweet piece of writing that I simply couldn’t resist not sharing it with you. It’s an extract from ‘The Velveteen Rabbit’ Anyone can compare this writing with his or her life, being a mother, father or teacher.
“What is REAL?” asked the Rabbit one day, “Does it mean having things that buzz inside you and a stick-out handle?”
“Real isn’t how you are made,” said the Skin Horse. “It’s a thing that happens to you. When a child loves you for a long, long time, not just to play with, but REALLY loves, you then you become REAL,”
“Does it hurt?” asked the Rabbit.
“Sometimes,” said the Skin Horse.
“Does it happen all at once, or bit by bit?” asked Rabbit.
“It doesn’t happen all at once,” said the Skin Horse. ” You become. It takes a long time. By the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don’t matter at all, because once you are Real you can’t be ugly, except to people who don’t understand.
We do alot for others throughout our whole life. At times it feels alot and the thought of giving up is so appealing, but do remember the above story and I’m sure it will motivate you, to keep going
